The good news is that Warner has started to ship some of their 3D Blu-ray titles with certain 3D products around the world.
The bad news is that they are only moving them with the products, rather than selling them separately.
The company will offer a copy of IMAX: Deep Sea 3D to anyone who purchases a Sony Blu-ray 3D player, 3D TV, or 3D glasses. They must send in proof of purchase along with a special form to receive the disc, which sounds like a minor fiddle but might just be worth it.
Also, anyone in the US or Canada who buys an LG BX580 or BX585 Blu-ray 3D player will be able to send away for a free copy of IMAX: Under the Sea 3D.
While outside the US, IMAX: Space Station 3D is now available to people who buy a Blu-ray 3D player, Blu-ray 3D home theater, 3D projector, or 3D TV from LG, but only in Europe, Asia, South America, and Central America.
Finally we are seeing the release of more 3D content, Blu-ray or otherwise, and even though it is a calculated release being coupled with equipment sales, its a positive sign for consumers.
